WHY?

In New Zealand, access to Asian cultural and artistic experiences is still relatively limited compared to the growing global enthusiasm for them.
While many of us may have personal or family connections to Asian heritage, there are few opportunities to explore or share these traditions in creative ways.
This gap makes it difficult for people to express cultural identity, appreciation, or curiosity in a supportive environment.
By establishing this digital publication, the project directly addresses this issue, offering a platform where Asian culture and arts can be celebrated, shared, and better understood within the New Zealand. It not only enriches the community's cultural diversity but also encourages dialogue, creativity, and a sense of inclusion among people from all backgrounds.

Our Mission

Vermilion Echoes is dedicated to celebrating and preserving Asian culture and arts by providing a platform for the community to share their personal connections with various art forms.
Such as calligraphy, traditional paintings, food making, dances, and more.
Through short written pieces and photos, we aim to create a vibrant space that fosters cultural appreciation and creativity among others.
The project also seeks to build a community where individuals can connect, share their stories, and feel empowered. Join us in this cultural journey!
